What Our Clients Say

Initially my son started with Freeland Martial Arts wanting to learn karate, but what he’s learned is so much more. He has learned self defense, stranger danger tactics, respect and is a much better listener. But more importantly he has developed self-confidence, leadership skills and is learning to be accountable for his own actions. My favorite part about Freeland Martial Arts is that they not only focus on karate and self defense, but also incorporating the respect and accountability they learn from karate in school and at home. In each class the kids are asked to report on how well they are listening at home and if their room is clean. Each belt graduation an extra step is added to allow their school teachers also weigh in on how well they are behaving. For the kids this then encompasses their entire world and helps them understand that these good behaviors are expected in all places, not just at the karate school.

We love Freeland Martial Arts. Ms. Julie, Mr. Julio, Ms. Krystal, and Mr Elisha are awesome! We live in Murray and are surrounded by Martial Art studios, however we drive the 20 mins because they are the best. It is a wonderful way for your child to learn discipline, concentration, accountability, and respect for themselves and others. My son is 4 years old and I really believe that participating in karate has increased his ability to concentrate and he really loves going. We look forward to going every week.
